Lost crops of Africa: Fruits is the third volume in the Lost Crops of Africa series that has been recently published.
This volume describes 24 little-known indigenous African cultivated and wild fruits that have potential as food and cash-crops. It assesses the potential of each fruit to help overcome malnutrition and boost food security. Each fruit is given its own chapter. The publishers have provided the opportunity to read this third volume on-line so should you be interested please click here for the table of contents.
The other two titles available in the series are: African grains (Vol. 1) and African vegetables ( vol. 2).
Bioversity Library has all three volumes in the series so staff are welcomed to pass by to see the complete series.
