Whiteflies and tomatoes

Latest news from ENDURE Network outlines  a recent study carried out by ENDURE’s Tomato Case Study Group. 

The pest that has their attention is the tobacco whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), and the study mentions that this pest  could significantly damage not only tomato crops but also cucumber, melon and watermelon crops throughout Europe. These crops are the one most vulnerable to the viruses that the whiteflies transmit.  Read more.
