Lost your bearing? Cows can help…

Here’s a quirky bit of research.  With the use of satellite images and field observations,  scientists have found that domestic cattle and other grazing animals like deer have the tendency to align their bodies in a north-south direction.  Specifically, the animals tend to orientate their heads towards northward.
