Agrobiodiversity & economic development

Agrobiodiversity conservation and economic development is the title of a new book that will be published next month by Routledge.

It outlines current developments in the economics of agrobiodiversity and focuses its attention on the role agrobiodiversity can have for economic development. The book is divided in three parts:

  • Policy perspectives
  • Mulitple objectives, tradeoffs and synergies between productivity and agrobiodiversity
  • Markets and non-market institutions for agrobiodiversity conservation

Please take the time to have a look at the interesting table of contents, some of the contributors are from Bioversity as well as other CGIAR centers.  This book will be available for loan in the Bioversity Library very shortly.
