World Book Day

Today, the 5th March is World Book Day. World Book Day was designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and is marked in over 100 countries around the globe.

Even in this ever increasing digital world, many people will tell you that as as far as they’re concerned, you can’t beat sitting down in your favourite chair and relaxing with a good book.

So, in honour of the humble book, and for a bit of fun, we have highlighted a few book lists we found via the List of Bests Blog that could be of interest:

* Guardian’s 100 best books of all time.
* Books that changed the world (Easton Press)
* 30 books that every adult should read before they die (The Museum, Libraries and Archives Council of the UK)
* Science Classics (Easton Press)

Enjoy and happy World Book Day!
