Our readers might not be aware that there is a Biodiversity World Tour currently underway.
This is a global campaign to engage citizens from around the world in a discussion on how agriculture can protect and preserve our natural resources. Travelling across three continents, the World Tour will engage audiences in a worldwide discussion about biodiversity and agriculture with farmers, agricultural experts, researchers, and policymakers.
You can join in virtual spaces called “Town Halls” where farmers, agricultural experts, and policy makers share their thoughts about the role agriculture can play in supporting biodiversity. These Town Halls will be broadcasted live via the Web with the panel taking questions through Twitter, Facebook, and e-mail.
The 2nd stop of The Biodiversity World Tour will be today at 10am ET in Brussel, where the EU Commissioner for the Environment, Janez Potočnik will participate.
Our readers can participate online via webcast, Twitter, Facebook, and e-mail. Click here to learn how.
